Whether you’re looking to sponsor one skilled migrant or build an offshore hiring pipeline, GRIAworks is designed to simplify the complexity. From job ad to arrival, the platform brings together employers, global recruitment partners, and candidates into one seamless workflow—powered by expertise, underpinned by compliance, and built for outcomes.

A smarter way to solve your workforce shortages—step by step

Step 1: Register Your Organisation
Before hiring, you’ll need to register your business on GRIAworks.
Here’s what’s involved:
- Provide your ABN, official company email, and contact info
- Enter basic details like industry, business address, and company name
- Complete ABN & email verification to activate your account
💡 Already registered under your ABN or domain? The system will prompt you to request access from your internal admin—keeping things secure and structured.
Step 2: Set Up Your Team
The person who registers your business becomes your Employer Administrator. They can:
- Invite colleagues
- Assign admin rights
- Control what different users can see or do
Think of it like your own internal dashboard for hiring—clean, auditable, and team-ready.
Step 3: Post a Job Aligned to Skilled Occupation Lists
Once you’re in, posting a job is free—but it must align to Australia’s visa-eligible occupations (via the ANZSCO framework). GRIA provides tools and templates to guide you.
Your job ad must include:
- Job title and responsibilities
- Location, salary, and contract duration
- Required qualifications and experience
- Any included benefits (housing, flights, insurance)
Every job goes through a quality check by your GRIA Account Manager—unless you’ve earned Trusted Employer status, in which case you can post directly.
Step 4: Consultation & Eligibility Check with GRIA
Before your job ad goes live or you start reviewing candidates, we’ll arrange a consultation and verification. Why?
Because hiring internationally requires more than just finding the right person—you need to be eligible to sponsor them and meet key compliance requirements, such as:
- ✅ Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS) – If you’re not yet an approved sponsor, we’ll help you get set up
- 📄 Labour Market Testing (LMT) – We’ll confirm if you’ve advertised locally in line with government rules
- 🌍 Occupation & Migration Pathway Alignment – We’ll check if your role is eligible for skilled migration (e.g. TSS, ENS, DAMA, etc.)
We also work with you to ensure your recruitment process meets the highest standards of ethical hiring. This means:
- Respecting candidate rights
- Avoiding exploitative practices
But don’t worry—this is where we shine.
GRIA simplifies what can seem complex. We work with you to tick every box, stay compliant, and uphold integrity in international recruitment.
“You focus on hiring the right person. We’ll handle the rest—ethically, and end-to-end.”
Step 5: Recruiters Source and Vet Candidates Globally
Your job ads are matched to GRIA’s licensed overseas recruitment partners based in regions like the Philippines, India, South Africa, and more.
They take care of:
- Advertising on local job boards
- Screening for skills, experience, qualifications, English, and visa readiness
- Submitting vetted candidates back through GRIAworks
You see only the most suitable vetted candidates—no more floods of irrelevant CVs.
Step 6: Interview and Select
When a candidate is submitted, you:
- Review their profile
- Schedule interviews (Recruiter can coordinate)
- Make a selection
Your GRIA Account Manager is with you at every step to help streamline the process and ensure compliance & ethical hiring practices.
Step 7: Visa Readiness and Offer
Once you’re ready to hire:
- We initiate a formal free migration consultation with the candidate (note: this is more extensive than the initial verification completed by the recruitment partner)
- Our Registered Migration Agents verify eligibility for sponsorship
- If eligible, you extend a formal offer (subject to visa grant)
This ensures every candidate you offer is already cleared for visa processing.
Step 8: Visa Lodgement and Start Date
Upon offer acceptance, GRIA and our in-house migration division, AIA, manage the entire visa process—lodgement, documents, compliance, updates.
When the visa is granted, we notify you immediately. You’re ready to onboard your new hire.
🎉 Congratulations—your new team member is on the way!
